Responsibilities  

 

  • Operate wire harness processing equipment
  • Assembly of wire harnesses using assembly documentation or written instructions, part lists, hand tools, and the knowledge gained through provided training
  • Select wires of specified color, marking, or length, and guide wires between forks and adapters on the harness board, following color-coded lines or sequential numbers on the board or diagram
  • Wrap and tie wires together at designated points to form bundles, manually or using a tie-wrap gun
  • Attach ends of wires to components, or terminal strip, using a soldering iron or crimping device
  • Cutting, stripping, marking, and terminating wires using hand and semi-automated equipment
  • Handle, inspect, sort, and track incoming and outgoing materials
  • Operate and maintain cutting, marking, ultrasonic welding, crimping, insulation stripping, and heat shrink machines
  • Set and adjust machine parameters and program cutting machines
  • Insert cables in plastic tubing or inject potting material around terminals to protect connections from dust and moisture
  • Test wiring continuity using a continuity tester
  • Providing identifying data for completed harness
  • Inspect completed products to ensure they meet both internal and customer specifications
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Participate in team continuous improvement projects
  • Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient material flow and production processes

 

Requirements 

 

  • Technical high school diploma or equivalent (electrical profession, mechatronics, electromechanics, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings 
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English, basic knowledge 
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or similar jobs is an asset 
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently 
  • Knowledge of Windows and Office tools 
  • General interest in technology (hobbies or other activities) 
  • Independent, responsible, and accurate work
  • Reliable and solution-oriented thinking
