Bugatti Rimac, part of the Rimac Group, brings together two forces that have redefined the automotive world. By combining Rimac’s cutting-edge electric performance and innovation with Bugatti’s 110+ year legacy of crafting iconic hypercars, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in automotive engineering.
Our team is at the core of this, we work with passion, aim for excellence, and take ownership of what we do. We grow together, pioneer solutions, and deliver vehicles that set new standards.
As a Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for the system-level validation of automotive EE subsystems using static bench test environments.
Working across powertrain, HV, thermal, body and chassis systems, you will design, configure, and execute test cases on the benches, ensuring ECUs and vehicle systems are validated against requirements before vehicle integration.
You will love this role if you enjoy working hands-on with complex automotive systems, both on the bench and in the vehicle, and take ownership of test quality from setup through to results analysis.
Where you’ll make an impact
Configure and execute test cases for system-level validation of all the vehicle domains
Set up, integrate, and commission ECUs, sensors, and actuators within the static bench environment
Develop, modify, and validate dynamic system models to support bench simulation activities
Collect and analyze test data, identify anomalies, and produce clear engineering reports with actionable findings
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system configuration issues during test execution, with documented root cause analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers to define test strategies, align on system requirements, and drive corrective actions
Contribute to continuous improvement of the test process, proposing new tools or techniques to increase efficiency and coverage
Occasionally support XIL/HIL activities when project scope requires
What are your core components
Hands-on experience with static EE bench testing (LabCar or equivalent environment)
Solid knowledge of Vector and ETAS toolchains (CANoe, CANalyzer, INCA or equivalent) for ECU testing and diagnostics
Understanding of automotive EE architectures and subsystems, including powertrain, HV battery systems, and charging
Experience with automotive test methodologies and V-cycle development processes
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows and working in iterative, cross-functional delivery environments
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly to engineering stakeholders
Proactive mindset with ownership over test quality and drive for continuous improvement
