1. Tasks
Regular Tasks:
- Calibration and Validation activities on Vehicles in different Proving grounds
- Calibration and Validation activities on HiL/DiL/PWT Rig
- Creation of procedures and documentation to describe calibration activities
- Creation of Reporting about Calibration Activities
- Support SW Calibration Experts for achieving Target Vehicle Attributes
- Creation of Matlab/Excel tools for Data Postprocessing
- Review and maintenance of the SW behind each feature
Occasional Tasks:
- Validation activity in Model-In-The-Loop environment
- Follow Software Development department
2. Responsibilities:
- Follow guidelines provided by Head, Manager and Experts
- Define the base calibration of Vehicle Controls Features
- Follow the calibration development and check Vehicle Performances.
- Release Controls Calibration parameters to Product owner for SW implementation
- Track all SW releases for calibration parameters check
- Collaborate with internal and external team for SW Improvement proposal
- Actively follow activities on Proving ground (spares and material needed, Testing planning)
3. Required skills and competences:
- Good knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics, Powertrain and Brake principles and main actuators or controls for vehicle motion
- Experience as a controls or SW engineer within the Automotive/Motorsport industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of embedded control systems.
- Understanding of requirements capture tools such as Jira/Jama.
- Experience of mainstream automotive ECU hardware and software development following ISO26262 or IEC61508 processes and hands-on experience with accordingly structured testing.
- Expert user of Software development tools e.g. ETAS Inca, ETAS MDA, Vector CANape, Vector CANalyzer.
- Matlab, Simulink, MS Office package.
- Ability to work in a Team and identify/solve complex engineering problems
