Responsibilities
- Plan and forecast production needs, including parts ordering and production schedules, using ERP and related software.
- Manage production plans for a specific department, tracking progress and adjusting schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor and optimize machine utilization (OEE) and ensure efficient resource allocation to meet demand.
- Coordinate weekly with shop floors and other departments like Material Controlling to address priority parts and lead times.
- Ensure a smooth flow of parts to the production line, resolving supply issues in collaboration with logistics teams.
- Monitor and report on production metrics, including output, defects, and performance.
- Identify and resolve production disruptions, adjusting plans as needed to maintain performance.
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and logistics to ensure seamless production processes.
- Provide regular updates on production status, performance, and potential challenges.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of English.
- Analytical approach to problem solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
- Experience in MRP (Manufacturing resource planning) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel software.
- Proven experience in production planning or degree in production planning or relevant field.
