Task and Responsibilities:
Setting up and coordinate the occupant protection vehicle performance virtual and experimental DVPs, scheduling according to legal and in-house development. This implies good knowledge of the international's vehicle safety regulations and good practice automotive standard
Coordinates and analyze results from virtual and experiments. Including subsystems as static deployments, trolley and sled test and vehicle crashes. Keep track of the detailed documentations and report release for each activity performed. Support Chief Project Engineer.
Manage all biomechanical simulations and support structural simulations. Liaising with CAE, body structure, interiors, exteriors, chassis and EE/HV dpt. CAD assessment and Virtual analysis requested. Issues management and timely resolutions on current development programs as well as support of issues arising from legacy programs
Support system DFMEA process to predict potential issues
Develop guidelines, targets and constrains for safety restraint component and occupant system protection performances.
Passive safety suppliers' management (components, syst integration, full vehicle certification) to pursuit the passive safety performance release on-target, on-time and on-budget.
Support on PS budget definition, tracking expenses
Target settings CAE/EXP DVPs support and responsible for all functional performances for the occupant safety systems application according to frontal and pedestrian protection, side, rear safety and dynamic rollover protection. Including: components development and integration, subsystems development and full-scale crash worthiness check, ACU calibration parameter set and fire/nofire threshold definition
Maintain and support de-bug activities for current programs, ensuring corrective actions are defined, validated, and implemented
Develop and ensure cross-functionality with other R&D departments to achieve components and system requirements
Required Skills and competencies:
To be a Passive safety performance engineer with proved experience in sport vehicle released to market. and to ensure Bugatti-Rimac maintains class leading safety performance in their vehicle
Experience in occupant protection within an automotive OEM, background on safety occupant restraint components at TIER 1 supplier is a plus
Experience of using NI Diadem and Altair Hyperworks SW for data analisys. Experience in CAD (ideally 3DX) to check models is a plus
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
