As part of our World Class Purchasing organisation, you will be responsible for working in partnership with our Engineering, Quality & Finance teams to deliver new projects on time, to cost, quality and performance targets.

1.Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Lead Buyer you will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of products and suppliers to deliver projects on-time, to cost, quality and performance targets.

• Identify Tier 1 suppliers capable of meeting our exacting standards for cost, quality and delivery performance

• Lead the selection, nomination and contracting of new suppliers.

• Develop and manage long term supplier relationships based on mutual success.

• Manage your supply base and portfolio to ensure all projects are on time for Development, Tooling and Components up to Job 1 + 90 days.

• Produce monthly KPI’s to demonstrate project status throughout program development lifecycle.

• Continue to develop and improve procurement processes and systems based on best in practice.

2. Required skills and competencies: 

• Degree level education

• Experience in Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Supplier environment

• Working knowledge and proficiency in ERP system and Microsoft Office 

• Internal/external customer focused 

• Able to work independently and manage time effectively

• Results driven 

• Excellent skills in written & spoken English

• Driving license: B category
