Responsibilities
- Defining validation and verification plans for energy storage systems and their sub-systems, and aligning to requirements and certification standards
- Project management of tests conducted in-house and externally
- Physically setting up and running testing
- Compiling and analyzing test results to distill key findings, feeding them back into the design
- Detailing test plans, instrumentation and schemes and leading test-inclined design activities
- Feeding test and build plans into project planning and budgeting
- Support DFMEA activities
- Outlining and implementing risk mitigation plans to re-risk product development
- Lead initiatives to do environmental and social good, and integrate this into actionable projects, company policies and culture
- Visit national and international trade fairs to present, observe market trends and represent our company
- Explore novel solutions to reduce cost, improve performance and meet ESG goals
- Conduct root cause analysis to contain issues

Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or electrical)
- 3 years+ of experience in testing or validation of electric vehicle, battery storage, the energy industry, and/or other related engineering backgrounds
- Prior experience with mechanical and functional/performance testing of battery systems, thermal systems, structures or power electronic systems
- Strong knowledge of testing procedures, instrumentation and test set-ups
- Strong experience in compiling DVP/V&V plans
- Familiarity with IEC, BS, UL etc. standards for testing and compliance
- A hands-on approach and a keenness to be close to the action
- A desire to improve our future by bringing cutting-the-edge technology to market
- Strong communication, both verbally and in written form
- You can lead, inspire, and motivate a team exploring new business ventures
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
