Responsibilities
Own and deliver work packages centred on the design, development, and delivery to the project timeline
Explore novel solutions to reduce cost, improve performance and meet ESG goals
Analyse product, certification and safety requirements and ensure compliance to requirements throughout the system
Carry out engineering due diligence, analysis and design, ensuring documentation of engineering deliverables is robust and reviewed
Support derivation of the technical/functional safety concept
Develop CAD with the design team
Complete System and Design reviews, DFMEA, risk analysis, and issue resolution
Co-ordinate, build and test prototypes
Support the industrialization of the concept
Develop and support verification, validation and integration strategy, and testing from the prototype phase through to homologation
Conduct root cause analysis to contain issues
Prioritize, analyze the impact, implement, and document change requests
Liaise with suppliers for concept development, verification and DFM
Lead initiatives to do environmental and social good, and integrate this into actionable projects, company policies and culture
Visit national and international trade fairs to present, observe market trends and represent our company
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or electrical)
2 years+ of experience in electric vehicle, battery storage, the energy industry, and/or other related engineering backgrounds
Strong knowledge and understanding of robust engineering practices and processes
Experience in Systems Engineering
Ability to quickly assess concepts using hand calculations, analysis and concept design
Prior knowledge and experience of CAD software (preferably CATIA)
2D technical drawing and BS8888 GD&T
A passion for electrification and de-carbonization

Strong communication, both verbally and in written form
