Responsibilities
• Take ownership of mechanical design for battery pack components and assemblies
• Ensure technical feasibility, manufacturability, and performance in design concepts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and quality
• Provide technical direction and support for prototyping, testing, and validation
• Optimize cost, weight, and structural integrity of battery components
• Maintain documentation for all design decisions and development processes
Main tasks
• Develop and refine CAD models and technical drawings for battery components
• Lead design reviews, ensuring compliance with engineering standards
• Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to optimize designs for production
• Design custom tools, jigs, and fixtures for product development and assembly
• Conduct material selection analysis to improve performance and durability
• Collaborate with testing teams to validate designs through simulations and real-world testing
• Perform verification activities to ensure reliability and durability of your design
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience in mechanical design, preferably in automotive or battery systems
• Proficiency in CAD software (3DX, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering standards
• Ability to analyze and optimize designs for efficiency and performance
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Fluent in English (written & spoken)
• At least 2 years of experience in automotive industry
