Responsibilities
- Coordinate the flow of materials from suppliers to the Rimac plant, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of components.
- Maintain optimum stock levels aligned with production plans, customer demand, and defined min/max stock quantities.
- Ensure availability of all materials required for production on time and in the correct quantities.
- Generate purchase requisitions, coordinate transport, and manage deliveries of incoming materials.
- Administer and maintain the MRP system, ensuring accurate data entry and configuration.
- Establish and coordinate EDI transactions with suppliers, ensuring smooth data exchange for purchase orders, shipping notices, and invoices.
- Analyze and improve the efficiency of material control systems (MRP, EDI, etc.) to enhance system utilization and data accuracy.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with EDI protocols and timely delivery of materials.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve any issues or inefficiencies in the material supply process.
- Manage material forecasts, update replenishment plans, and ensure the availability of returnable packaging to support operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Operations, or a related field, or 3+ years of relevant experience in material control systems.
- Proven experience in production planning, material management, and inventory control, preferably within the Automotive industry
- Hands-on experience with MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) systems and material control systems.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
- Proficient in math and statistics to analyse and interpret data accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and high attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
