We are looking for a Manufacturing Composite Engineer for Tools and Fixtures!
Regular tasks
Tool and fixture mechanical design for composite part production:
Carbon moulds
Aluminium moulds
Machining fixtures
Handling fixtures
Material choice for pattern, moulds and fixtures
Create all technical drawings, CAD, BoM
Resolve drawing interpretation issues and identify manufacturing tooling requirements
Involvement in composite parts development process
Track the equipment from Design to Production
Monitor and control the cost of all generated equipment
Validation of the produced tools and fixtures
Follow-up implementation of the tooling and first use. Perform adjustment
Identify potential assembly issues and propose solutions for optimization purposes
Specify inspection operations, handling and maintenance instruction
Track and monitor progress of project tooling
Make feasibility studies for new projects
Other duties as assigned
Occasional tasks
Manage a number of databases which are used to track and manage materials
Perform tooling costing
Support assembly of the Designed/produced equipment
Participate in Design reviews with various team members from the department
