As part of our World Class Purchasing organisation, you will be responsible for working in partnership with Business Managers and Finance teams to deliver Services, Capital Acquisitions, and Business requirements on-time to cost.
1.Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of suppliers and commodities to deliver services and products on-time, to cost, quality and performance targets.
Identify Suppliers capable of meeting our exacting standards for cost, quality and performance.
Lead the selection, nomination and contracting of new suppliers.
Drive annual cost down programs for your commodity base
Drive annual supplier rationlisation programs to reduce supply base complexity and deliver improved cost performance
Develop and manage long term supplier relationships based on mutual success.
Produce monthly KPI’s to demonstrate commercial and operational improvements
Continue to develop and improve procurement processes and systems based on best in practice.
2. Required skills and competencies:
Degree level education
Experience in In-Direct procurement within a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of cost and performance improvements
Working knowledge and proficiency in ERP system and Microsoft Office
Internal/external customer focused
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
Results driven
Excellent skills in written & spoken English
Driving license: B category
