We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, as well as building reporting solutions using SQL and data visualisation. You will work closely with data architect, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality data is available for decision-making.
Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines using SQL Server and other Microsoft technologies.
Database Management: Develop and maintain robust SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data processing and analytics needs.
Power BI Development: Design and implement Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they meet business requirements and are optimized for performance.
Data Quality and Performance: Monitor data quality, implement data validation, and optimize SQL queries and Power BI reports for better performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data architect, and other technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for data processes, solutions, and reports.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, etc.) and database management.
Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Proficiency with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Experience in ERP (ideally Infor or SAP)
Experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.
Ability to work with large datasets and optimize queries for performance.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, or other Azure-based data solutions.
Familiarity with Python, R, or other data transformation tools.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Certification in Power BI or other relevant Microsoft technologies is a plus.
