Responsibilities
• Lead the development of innovative EV battery concepts from idea to feasibility assessment
• Ensure technical feasibility by evaluating materials, manufacturing processes, and performance
• Provide technical direction and guidance in early-stage concept development
• Identify risks and challenges in battery concepts and propose mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, design, and engineering, to align on strategies
• Drive concept feasibility studies, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and safety targets
• Document findings, including test data, analysis reports, and recommendations for further development
Main tasks
• Develop and refine ideas for battery components and complete battery packs
• Conduct simulations and modelling to evaluate battery performance and efficiency
• Analyse technical risks, identify challenges, and propose solutions for improvement
• Communicate findings through detailed reports and presentations to stakeholders
• Work closely with testing teams to validate early-stage battery designs
• Contribute to the development and improvement of feasibility assessment methodologies
• Stay up to date with emerging battery technologies and integrate new insights into concept development
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related field)
• Strong experience in battery system design, automotive engineering, or energy storage
• Proficiency in CAD software (Catia, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Deep understanding of battery market and available technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
• Ability to assess feasibility and propose innovative, high-impact solutions
• Fluent in English (written & spoken)
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive industry
