Lead thermal battery systems and sub-systems design, development, and delivery to meet project timelines
Decompose battery system requirements into thermal sub-system and component-level requirements
Develop and support verification, virtual verification (simulation), validation, and integration strategies, including testing from prototype to homologation for the complete thermal system
Review thermal and hydraulic simulation reports and propose corrective or improvement actions to the development team
Support the derivation of the technical and functional safety concept for the thermal system
Conduct thermal system and design reviews, DFMEA, and risk analyses
Review technical drawings and production documentation for thermal systems and components
Conduct root cause analysis at thermal system and component levels
Provide support to assembly and testing teams during thermal product operations
Contribute to ongoing thermal product and process improvement
Ensure thermal system product conformity to applicable standards and industry best practices
Drive product safety through analytical and risk-assessed approaches
Lead technically focused meetings related to thermal systems
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive systems or industrial experience in a complex multidisciplinary product environment
Experience with HV battery systems and knowledge of lithium-based battery cell system design
Understanding of Systems / Requirements Engineering and related tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, JAMA)
Familiarity with PLM systems (3Dx, TeamCentre, Creo) and knowledge of the project life cycle from R&D to series production
Experience in product design, manufacturing processes, and engineering best practices
Knowledge of safe working practices for HV systems, applicable legislation, and homologation standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Strong command of English (written and spoken)
Extensive experience in systems engineering, research, and development
Ability to challenge experts, consultants, and senior stakeholders using a systematic, first-principles approach
Solid knowledge of battery cell management
Proven experience in thermal system design and management
Understanding of electro-mechanical components and their integration
Familiarity with automotive standards and regulatory frameworks
Prior experience in the automotive industry
Experience as a system owner of thermal components within HV battery systems
