Responsibilities
Design & Development
Collaborate with central engineering teams to define best-practice laser welding solutions.
Contribute to Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities to ensure robust and scalable processes.
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
Participate in FAT activities to validate equipment and process compliance.
Review and sign off FAT results, ensuring readiness for installation.
Installation & Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Support line installation and commissioning, focusing on:
Cycle time validation (station, loop, line)
Process and product capability checks
Correct definition of laser welding parameters
Document and sign off SAT results.
Create and maintain work instructions and PFMEA documentation.
Ramp-Up & Production Support
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for laser welding processes.
Reduce scrap and optimize cycle times through data-driven analysis.
Implement engineering changes and support quality improvements.
Monitor technical availability and ensure smooth production handover.
Lead development of production processes and checks.
Support Production Engineers during ramp-up.
Troubleshoot process and equipment when issues arise and implement containment and corrective actions.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or similar).
Hands-on experience or strong interest in laser welding, automation, or battery manufacturing.
Analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude. Ability to work in a team.
Willingness to work on-site in a fast-paced production environment.
Good problem solving skills.
Fluency in English.
Experience in CAD software, preferably CATIA
Associate degree/certification to welding process; associate degree in production technologies, engineering or a similar field.
It's beneficial if you have:
Experience from high-volume automotive production
Experience working with highly automated equipment
